Vertical dramas are reshaping the entertainment landscape, introducing a storytelling format built specifically for mobile audiences. Their rapid rise has captured Hollywood’s attention and driven meaningful industry recognition—most notably through VertiCon, the first-ever convention dedicated exclusively to vertical content, and the launch of the The Verties, which honor innovation and creative excellence in this emerging space.
Designed for smartphones, vertical dramas are episodic series produced in a 9:16 vertical format, featuring short, fast-paced episodes often under one minute. Tailored for the TikTok generation, these micro-dramas are bingeable, emotionally driven, and optimized for on-the-go viewing. Despite their brief runtime, they deliver high-impact storytelling through relatable characters, dramatic twists, and cliffhanger endings—earning their reputation as modern-day soap operas reimagined for Gen Z and the scrolling era.

Beemer Wolf Productions (BWP) is an independent production company dedicated to creating engaging experiences that celebrate entertainment, creativity, and community. Through live events, digital programming, conventions, and original award show productions, BWP brings fans, performers, filmmakers, and other creatives together in meaningful and memorable ways.
BWP’s productions include VertiCon, the original fan convention dedicated to vertical entertainment. VertiCon features interactive panels, meet-and-greets, live programming, and opportunities for fans to connect with the actors, creators, and industry professionals behind the stories they love.
BWP also independently created and produces The Verties, its own original award show celebrating the talent, productions, and creative professionals helping shape the vertical entertainment industry. The Verties is a BWP-owned and operated production, developed separately from any previous award programs produced by the company.
Before creating The Verties, BWP created and produced the Vertical Awards on behalf of its founder, Vincent Zannino. BWP worked to bring his vision to life through the development and production of an event recognizing actors, writers, directors, producers, and other creatives working within the vertical entertainment format.
